Drifts of snowdrops or even a small cluster in your border will attract bees in February. They are especially good for attracting queen bumblebees and several early species of solitary bees.
Snowdrops are best planted ‘in the green’ or when in active growth, the main advantage being you can ensure the bulbs are alive and healthy when you buy them.
